Here we will tell the story of the beginnings of our church and how we became what we are today.

In the winter month of February 2005, the Lord called upon Pastor Ruben Alvarez to begin a long-time calling in Ada, Minnesota. The Alvarez Family was fully blessed with many talents and gifts. They had shared their ministry all across Southwest Texas, some parts of Northwestern Minnesota and a small portion of Michigan. But it was time for the family to start planting in their hometown.

The decision to begin a church was sudden and unplanned. there were so many questions and few answers as to what was to happen. No one knew what was to come, but the Alvarez family had their faith and trust planted in God. Little did they know that blessings were going to ppour out of heaven and flood there home.

That's where The Potter's House Church began--in their home. the family was the only group of people who atended the first few services. Although it seemed discouraging, they continued on worshipping and praising God. Then more and more people attended weekly in wednesday services, Sunday School and sunday worship. The house began to fill with people and the pastor decided it was time to find a place of worship. That's when the biggest blessing of all came along.

This church was the First Congregational Church of Ada. it had been used as that up until the 70's when sadly it was transformed into a historical museum. For thirty years it had become old and unused, until one cold winter day when Pastor Ruben asked about it.

Praise God! He was instantly blessed with it and The Potter's House Church was officially the new house of God. They have been there since, and the congregation keeps growing as the Lord continues to bless.

With each challenge we have encountered, we became stronger in our faith.
We invite you to become a part of the church today and a piece of its history tomorrow.
